The Canadian Association of Gift Planners is holding a charity law seminar.

Have you told your donors about the new legislation that will impact their estate planning? Leilani Kagan will tell you all about the 2016 changes to Canadian estate laws, especially how they will affect bequests to charities.

Leilani Kagan’s practice as a member of the tax and estate-planning group at Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP focuses primarily on the areas of owner-manager taxation issues, corporate reorganizations, trust & estate planning and charities & non-profits.

Leilani has authored and presented various papers, including several papers for the Law Society of Manitoba’s Continuing Legal Education program and for the Canadian Tax Foundation’s Prairie Provinces Tax Conference. Leilani has also presented a series of seminars for the United Way focused on tax and charities law, as well as presented to the Chartered Professional Accountants, Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Canadian Association of Gift Planners.
