Doing Business in China: The Opportunities and Pitfalls
The Canada China Business Council 2016 National China Business Workshop Series is designed to help SMEs plan and implement next steps in the development of their businesses in China. Each exclusive roundtable session brings together a limited number of entrepreneurs to engage in discussions on best practices when doing business in or with China.
Expert speakers cover a range of topics and address real issues that affect businesses in their daily operations. Discussions will cover, among other topics:
• the need to be creative in financing and movement of funds
• managing legal contracts
• tax reduction strategies
• complying with CSR and emerging anti-corruption regulatory regimes
• identifying new business opportunities in China’s tier-2 cities outside of Beijing and Shanghai.

TDS will be video conferencing in a lawyer from the law firm Jun He, the Lex Mundi member firm for China. The legal portion of the event will be a discussion on the top 4-5 top things that Canadian businesses need to know about doing business in China.
