A ROUNDTABLE BREAKFAST SEMINAR

Aspects of the Federal Regulation of Interprovincial Railroads, and the Regulation of Motor Transportation, including a Discussion of Recent Cases Relating to Load Brokers and Consolidators

Contrary to common perception Canada has not two, but over 60 railways. All but CN and CP are known as “short lines”. The term is misleading; Short Line Railroads provide service over a growing part of Canada’s rail network. Art Stacey has been involved in the development of four short lines in western Canada and is presently acting on four more. He will provide an overview of this part of the rail industry in Canada.
