Elmer J. Gomes

Elmer’s practice consists of all aspects of corporate and commercial law. He has significant experience in commercial real estate conveyancing, financing, leasing and development and also has experience in natural resources and energy related property matters. Elmer also has experience and assists clients in technology and intellectual property law issues, including licensing and protection matters.

Elmer has acted in many transactions for a variety of clients ranging from family run businesses to public corporations on transactions involving a variety of practice areas, including purchases and sales of businesses, financings, property development and intellectual property and technology matters.

Publications and Presentations

Elmer has been an instructor for the University of Manitoba’s Solicitor’s Transactions course (now the Business Transactions course) and has also been a learning group facilitator in the Real Property section of the Centre for Professional Legal Education Program Course of the Law Society of Manitoba (formerly the Bar Admission Course) since 2006.

Elmer served on the board of directors the Family Centre of Winnipeg from 2000 until 2008 and served in the offices of President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
