Michael Choiselat


Michael’s practice can be divided into five areas: (1) a general corporate and commercial practice, which involves advising a wide variety of businesses and not-for-profit entities; (2) banking and finance, which involves advising financial institutions on a wide variety of financing transactions; (3) real estate and development, which involves advising on land transfers, leasing matters and financings; (4) securities; and (5) private equity financing.
Prior to joining Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP, Michael was an associate at Torys LLP in Toronto.

Achievements

While in law school, Michael was the recipient of 15 academic awards and scholarships for the highest standing in various courses, the highest standing in second year law and the third-highest standing in both first and third year law.
