Ross A. McFadyen
Ross primarily practices in the area of civil litigation and specializes in cases involving insurance, construction, taxation, debtor-creditor and insolvency issues. He also has extensive experience in acting for clients both seeking and opposing injunctions. Ross also practices in the area of administrative law and has represented clients before various boards and tribunals.
Ross received admission to partnership with the firm in 2009.

Litigation:
Acted as co-counsel for the Government of Manitoba in the Manitoba Court of Queen’s Bench, Manitoba Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada in successfully responding to an application challenging the ability of the Government of Canada to collect certain income taxes on behalf of Manitoba
Acted as co-counsel for Manitoba Telecom Systems Inc. in the Manitoba Court of Queen’s Bench and Manitoba Court of Appeal in successfully defending a claim by Shaw Cablesystems for injunctive relief and damages
Acted as co-counsel for the Canadian National Railway Company in seeking injunctions relating to blockades of railway lines in the Manitoba Court of Queen’s Bench
Acts as lead counsel for The Toronto-Dominion Bank in various debtor-creditor and insolvency cases throughout Manitoba
Acts as lead counsel for various liability insurers in defending personal injury and property damage claims
