Michael Guthrie has been elected to the Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Jeff Pniowsky has been appointed to the tax committee at the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters.

Jan Lederman, a partner with Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP, has been appointed regional vice chairwoman for the North American region of the Lex Mundi corporate organizations and securities practice group.

 
Sacha Paul has been appointed a Director on the Board of the Misericordia Health Centre Foundation Inc.
 
Peter Glowacki, a partner with Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP (TDS) was recently re-elected to be the Secretary of the Canadian Bar Association National Charities and Not-for-Profit Law Section for a further two year term. 
 
Lisa Stiver, a partner with TDS was recently appointed to the United Way Finance and Administration Committee.
 
Silvia de Sousa, a partner with TDS has been elected Treasurer of the National Intellectual Property Section of the Canadian Bar Association commencing September 1, 2009.  
 

Antoine Hacault, a partner with Thompson Dorfman Sweatman (TDS) has been elected as Vice-chair of the Canadian Bar Association of the National Communications Committee and has been appointed Vice-president of the Board of Governors of College Universitaire de Saint-Boniface. He is also currently Co-Chair of its annual fund raising campaign.

Albina Moran, a partner with Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP (TDS) has been appointed Secretary of the National Real Property subsection of the Canadian Bar Association.
 
John Stefaniuk, a partner with Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP (TDS), has been named among a small group of Canadian lawyers as a highly recommended environmental lawyer in the 2009/10 edition of U.K.-based Practical Law Company’s Cross Border Environmental Handbook.  Selection for listing is based on feedback from clients and peers. John has also been appointed to the board of directors of the Friends of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
 
Allison Fenske, an associate with TDS has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Freeze Frame, a not-for-profit organization providing educational opportunities for children and youth.
