TDS acted for Brandon, Manitoba based Manitoba NetSet Ltd. and I-Netlink Incorporated (NetSet) on the sale of the internet access business to New Brunswick-based Xplornet Communications. NetSet is the largest privately held telecommunication company in Manitoba founded in 2001 providing next generation broadband services throughout the Province of Manitoba.
TDS acted for NetSet and provided a wide-range of services including corporate and commercial law (mergers and acquisitions), intellectual property law, real estate law, labour and employment law, and tax law. The transaction and investment in Manitoba was the largest in Xplornet’s history.
