An out-of-court settlement was reached between Bishop’s University and its former student athlete Kevin Kwasny, on the day the case was supposed to go to trial. The settlement was made without any admission of liability, and the settlement terms are confidential.

Had the case proceeded to court, it would have been one of the largest personal injury lawsuits involving a Canadian university. The Kwasny family was represented by Robert and Stuart Kugler, and Jamie Kagan.
