Manitoba Bar Association Law Day Open House Sponsorship

TDS is happy to sponsor the Manitoba Bar Association (MBA) in celebration of Law Day and the 2023 Law Day Open House.

Law Day is a national event held every April that celebrates the signing of Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms. In Manitoba, Law Day is the MBA's largest public legal education program, providing an opportunity for the community to learn more about the Canadian legal system.

TDS believes that the 2023 Law Day Open House is a great opportunity to bring the public and members of the law community together. The event helps educate the public on the understanding of the law, its role in society, and the ways in which it affects our lives. It is also an opportunity to understand and celebrate the important roles and contributions that lawyers and other legal professionals make in our legal system.

2023 Law Day Open House will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 12:00 Noon - 3:30 p.m. at the Winnipeg Law Courts, 208 York Avenue, Winnipeg.

Admission to the Law Courts is free, and events include:

• the distribution of the charter
• high school mock trials
• legal information sessions
• exhibits and displays
• guided tours of the law courts
• demonstrations by a drug detector dog and its handler
