IDEA – the International Distinguished Entrepreneur Award – is awarded annually by the University of Manitoba to an outstanding Global entrepreneur. Hosted by The Associates of the Asper School of Business, the dinner brings leaders from across Canada and around the world to Winnipeg to honour a business executive who has achieved international stature and made an exemplary contribution to the economic life of Canada or the world at large.

The 2023 recipient is Anthony von Mandl, O.C., O.B.C., Founder, Owners & CEO, The Mark Anthony Group of Companies. Mr. von Mandl is the proprietor of a collection of family-owned luxury wineries in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley, and the creator of a collection of innovative new to world beverage brands that have achieved iconic brand status and have complete transformed the beverage alcohol industry.
