Procurement & Contract Management Masterclass

This comprehensive and interactive seminar is a must attend for any manager or practitioner that works with contracts, particularly those that are either high value or high risk in nature.   During this two-day seminar, attendees will build upon their appreciation and understanding of legal terms and conditions as they pertain to procurement processes and contract management. 

Day 1 – Day one will provide a baseline review of RFPs, discuss drafting best practices and include a discussion on current issues relating to negotiated RFPs and Contract A awards.   We will also review Trade Treaty principles (public entities) and provide some important legal updates.

Day 2 – Day two will focus on contract management including contract preparation and architecture, negotiation of legal terms and conditions such as liability, indemnification, warranties, and will provide relevant updates in the law including the Good Faith principle.

About the Instructor: Lisa Stiver

Lisa Stiver’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, with particular emphasis on commercial transactions, and on real property conveyancing, leasing and financing. As well, Lisa has significant experience in providing advice on tendering and procurement in both the private and public sector, and healthcare law matters.

Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba in 1995 with Distinction, and received her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Manitoba in 1998.
