Description
TDS lawyer Meghan Ross will be instructing the Winnipeg Construction Association course “Managing Change to Avoid Disputes & Litigation” on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Change in construction projects is inescapable. Change has also been identified as the most significant financial stress for owners, consultants, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. Changes interrupt the flow of work, create delays, cause schedules to slip, and inflate costs which in turn might generate disputes or litigation. Significant savings in both cost and time are possible by properly managing change as it arises.

This session will provide insight from a legal perspective on how to best navigate and manage change to avoid disputes and litigation. Topics include change management process and documentation (CCDC 2, CCDC 5B, CCA 1), change order pricing and how delays are valued.
