Melissa Beaumont

A TDS Rising Star

TDS congratulates our partner Melissa Beaumont on being named among Lexpert Rising Stars 2023: Leading Lawyers Under 40 in Canada.

The Lexpert Rising Star Awards honours leading lawyers in their practice area and community. Melissa has a diverse practice in labour and employment and human rights law.

Leilani Kagan K. C.

Winnipeg Women's Conference Panel Speaker

Leilani Kagan, K.C. is a 2024 panel speaker at this year’s Winnipeg Women’s Conference (WWC), where she will discuss and elaborate on the difficulties women, and women of colour work through every day, and how these obstacles are overcome.

In addition to speaking at events such as the Winnipeg Women’s Conference, Leilani generously donates her time and energy to her community as a Director of The Dream Factory Foundation, Director of TOBA Centre for Children and Youth, and member of the United Way Major Donor Cabinet.

Leilani is a partner in the Business Law Group (Tax) and is also Chair of the Business Development Committee. Her practice encompasses corporate transactions and all aspects of income and commodity taxation, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, with a primary focus on owner-manager taxation issues, corporate reorganizations, spin-offs, private equity investments, financings, REITs, partnership and joint ventures.
