An out of court settlement was reached in the case involving Bishop’s University and its former student athlete Kevin Kwasny.  Kevin suffered severe brain injuries during a football game on September 10, 2011.  The settlement was made without any admission of liability, and the settlement terms are confidential. 

“Kevin and his family are pleased with the settlement.  They are eager to obtain additional therapy for Kevin in an attempt to improve his condition as much as possible.  The Kwasny family is eternally grateful for all of the support they have received from so many people since Kevin suffered his injuries,” reported the Kwasny family’s lawyers, Robert and Stuart Kugler, and Jamie Kagan.

“We are pleased that Kevin will have the necessary resources to support him” said Michael Goldbloom, Principal of Bishop’s University.



Une entente de règlement hors Cour est intervenue dans la cause impliquant l’Université Bishop et son ancien étudiant athlète Kevin Kwasny. Kevin a subi de graves blessures au cerveau durant un match de football le 10 septembre 2011.
