Keira is an Associate at the firm with a practice focused in labour and employment law. Keira acts for clients with unionized and non-unionized workplaces. Her practice is primarily focused on advising clients in various areas including, employment agreement and independent contractor agreement drafting and review, drafting employer policies and manuals, severance package drafting and negotiations, workplace safety and health matters, employment standards, human rights issues and wrongful dismissal litigation. Keira is a member of the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers (CACE), which is the leading management-side labour and employment lawyers organization in Canada.
Keira started at the firm in 2022 as an Articling Student-At-Law. Keira was called to the Manitoba Bar in June 2023, and joined the firm as an Associate.
Keira attended Robson Hall Faculty of Law during which she worked as an externship student at the Legal Help Centre assisting unrepresented individuals with a variety of legal issues. Keira was actively involved in the Manitoba Law Students Association as the chair of the Clinical Experience Committee. In her final year at Robson Hall, she participated in the Kawaskimhon moot, a multi-party negotiation focused on reconciliation and advocating for the rights of Indigenous Peoples.
