TDS is proud to celebrate International Women's Day. International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.
The theme of this year's International Women's Day is #Embrace Equity. TDS is committed to challenging gender bias and inequality so everyone can work towards a world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
TDS continues to take a number of concrete steps to promote gender equity in our own firm and beyond. These include:
- The TDS Equity and Accountability Council: Composed of senior Partners, Management and Associates, this group leads the implementation and maintenance of firm policies and initiatives designed to create a culture that reflects the Core Values of TDS, which includes an express commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Mentorship and Training: As one of our core values, we believe that mentorship and training are powerful tools for supporting and encouraging women to achieve their full potential. TDS also provides training and education to employees on topics such as unconscious bias, gender equity, and diversity and inclusion.
- Supporting Women's Organizations: TDS and its lawyers continue to support women's business organizations in our community, including the Winnipeg Women's Conference. We believe that by working together, we can create a more equitable and just world.
TDS is stronger when we work collaboratively to serve our clients' best interests and needs. Our team includes over 180 women who ensure we meet the needs of our clients. They are leaders, mentors and innovators.
On International Women's Day, we call on everyone to join us in embracing equity. We encourage our friends and colleagues to take the necessary steps to promote gender equity in their own organizations. Together, we can make a difference.
