Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP (TDS Law) and Christianson TDS, the Portage la Prairie office of TDS Law, are pleased to welcome Hope M. Buset to the firm.
Originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Hope graduated with honours from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts degree, then from the University of Manitoba with her Bachelor of Laws. She completed her articles in Thunder Bay at Buset & Partners LLP, where she worked primarily in civil litigation. After returning to Winnipeg, Hope practised criminal law with Brodsky & Company and then Bueti Wasyliw & Associates. Most recently, she held the dual role of Legal Director/Supervising Lawyer for the Legal Help Centre. In those positions, she was exposed to and provided advice on a wide range of legal issues, in addition to teaching and mentoring third-year law students whose internship saw them applying their education in a clinical setting.
Hope is returning to private practice with Christianson TDS, where she will be again working in a range of legal areas, including residential and commercial real estate; wills, estates and succession planning; and municipal matters.
