Congratulations to Chrys Pappas, Q.C. on receiving the 2020 Distinguished Service Award from the Manitoba Bar Association and the Mid-Winter Conference Organizing Committee.
The Distinguished Service Award is presented to a member of the Manitoba Bench or Bar who exemplifies the ideals of service to the legal profession and the community. Chrys was nominated and selected for the award, not only based on over 50 years of service to the legal profession, but also for his broader involvement in the community, both locally and nationally.
Chrys practises law with TDS in Winnipeg. His practice is concentrated in the area of corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on small business acquisitions, sales and mergers, banking and security matters, commercial and industrial real estate sales and purchases, commercial mortgage financing and leasing.
Chrys was appointed as Queen’s Counsel in 1989 and appointed as a Life Member of the Council of the Manitoba Bar Association. He has also been designated as one of Canada’s top 500 Lawyers by Lexpert Magazine.
