We are pleased to announce our recent agreement to enter into partnership with Roy, Johnston & Co. LLP, based in Brandon, Manitoba with a proposed effective date of April 1, 2014. The merged firms, with our expanded geographic presence, will be better enabled to provide a full range of legal services to clients located in the areas traditionally served by Roy, Johnston & Co. LLP, while continuing to offer the services of the same local lawyers and offices.

Paul Roy, Managing Partner of Roy, Johnston & Co. LLP says, “Roy, Johnston & Co. has been in Western Manitoba for over 30 years. In that time our clients have grown larger and more complex. We need a way to combine local personal service with access to lawyers who can handle almost any problem, almost anywhere in the world. The combined forces of Roy, Johnston and TDS will be able to provide service at that level, which is what our clients need to successfully take their businesses to the next level. “

The addition of lawyers Paul Roy, Robert Johnston, Kelly Dickson, Andrea Hadley, Derrick Stewart and Tyler Watt, assisted by a dedicated support staff team, will allow the firm to better serve the Westman Region and rural clients. The same local lawyers and staff will continue to serve the Manitoba communities of Brandon and Boissevain. These two new offices will add to the geographic foot print of TDS Law across Manitoba.

Clients of Roy, Johnston & Co. LLP in the City of Brandon and rural Manitoba will now have direct access to TDS lawyers in Winnipeg via state-of-the-art, high definition (HD) video conferencing technology, offering the benefit of a wide range of legal services including tax law, expropriation, labour and employment law, complex litigation, environmental law, aboriginal law, intellectual property, business immigration and others.

Don Douglas, CEO and Managing Partner of TDS Law says “We are very pleased to be embarking on this path. The combined resources of our full-time offices in Winnipeg, Portage la Prairie and Brandon will enable us to continue the high level of service provided by Roy, Johnston & Co. LLP to the Brandon and Westman area.”
