William (Bill) J. Burnett, Q.C. Appointed a Judge of the Manitoba Court of Queen’s Bench

Thompson Dorfman Sweatman (TDS) partner William J. (Bill) Burnett has been appointed a Judge of the Manitoba Court of Queen’s Bench. Bill commenced his practice with TDS on July 1, 1977 as a student, was called to the bar in 1978 and has been a partner since 1986. Bill’s practice focused primarily on civil litigation with emphasis on commercial and real estate disputes, construction law, health law, environmental, agricultural and resource issues in which he earned the respect of clients and colleagues as tenacious, fair and trusted counsel. The partners, associates and staff of TDS extend our congratulations to Bill as he embarks on another stage in his career in the law.
