Bruce is the senior partner of the firm and has been practicing commercial law in Winnipeg for over 50 years. His practice is focused principally on securities and the financing of corporations and limited partnerships, as well as of provincial and civic issuers.

Rick‘s principal area of practice is real estate law, with particular emphasis on and expertise in commercial sale, purchase, financing and lease transactions.

Bob has a diverse business law practice, focusing on commercial real estate, real estate development, commercial leasing, municipal law, zoning, property assessment, administrative law and general commercial litigation. Over the past 20 years he has developed considerable expertise in natural resource development and aboriginal law, particularly consultation and negotiations with First Nations and Aboriginal communities and groups.

Glen’s practice is focussed on the corporate and commercial areas of the law. He has particular experience in mergers and acquisitions, the preparation and negotiation of agreements, banking and finance, government relations, securities, and agricultural matters.

Andrew’s practice is concentrated in the area of general corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on securities law and transactional matters. Much of his practice focuses primarily on the aerospace and agribusiness sectors.

Gerald Ashcroft practises exclusively in the area of family law. He has extensive experience with issues of separation and divorce, custody and access, child and spousal support, property division, adoption and guardianship, including advice, negotiation, settlement conferences, litigation, and preparation of pleadings and domestic agreements.

Don Baizley's practice is concentrated in the area of sports law, primarily the representation of professional hockey players.

Melissa practices mainly in the areas of labour and employment law. She has experience providing advice to both employees and employers, in both unionized and non-unionized contexts.

Paul Brett’s practice is restricted to civil litigation and transportation matters arising in the Provinces of Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Paul conducts a general civil litigation practice with an emphasis on insurance defence, coverage and regulatory matters, including general liability, errors and omissions, products liability, life and health, reciprocal exchanges and motor transportation law.

Michael’s practice can be divided into five areas, corporate commercial, banking and finance, real estate and development, securities, and private equity financing.

Bjorn's current practice is focused principally on transactional matters in the areas of Farm Real Estate, Corporate, Commercial, Estates, Municipal Law, and litigation relating to those matters.

Silvia’s practice is concentrated in the area of business law with an emphasis on intellectual property law, life sciences law and technology law. Her practice also includes intellectual property transactions, commercial law, financings and licensing matters.

 Karolina practices in Winnipeg as an associate with Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP, primarily in the areas of tax, commercial and general litigation matters.

Don serves as the CEO and Managing Partner of Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP.   While doing so, he continues to pursue a wide-ranging commercial practice which includes transactional and litigious matters, with an emphasis on insolvency and restructuring.

Andrea practises primarily in the areas of employment law, bankruptcy and insolvency law and civil litigation.
