About

The outbreak of COVID-19 has caused disruptions across all industries in Canada including here at home in Manitoba, leaving organizations and individuals uncertain of the future lost.

We are committed to supporting our clients and communities through turbulent legal waters and to help show the way. We are offering up to $10,000 to four (4) Manitoba-based organizations struggling with legal challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our COMPASS pro bono program provides assistance to those in the greatest need.

What does COMPASS stand for?

COMPASS is designed as a ‘pay-it-forward’ program, aimed at giving back to organizations who have a history of giving back to the community, but are now facing significant headwinds during the current economic storm. We will work with selected applicants on a pro bono basis, to help them navigate the challenges and assist them with setting a new course for recovery.

Small businesses and organizations help the local economy. We are proud to be associated with organizations who have a reputation of helping the community, but have experienced hardship with their businesses due to COVID-19.

Who can apply?

If you are a Manitoba-based organization, have seen your revenue decrease significantly as a result of COVID-19, and have a history of giving back to the community please fill out the application form below for your opportunity to be matched with one of our lawyers committed to this program.

Which legal services are available with the COMPASS pro bono program?

COVID-19 has impacted organizations differently. TDS lawyers will work with the selected applicants to determine which legal services your organization requires to move into the new normal.

We can also help navigate through the available Federal and Provincial government resources to help determine if your organization is entitled to these resources and how they can access those funds.

We will be accepting applications for the COMPASS pro bono program until July 31, 2020.

Selected applicants will be announced on August 17, 2020
