Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP is proud to celebrate Pride Week as a sponsor of the 2023 Pride Winnipeg Festival.
The Pride Winnipeg Festival is one of the largest Pride celebrations between Vancouver and Toronto, attracting over 40,000 locals and guests from all across the Canadian Prairies, North Western Ontario, and North-Central United States. The festival takes place at The Forks and showcases a diverse range of on-stage performances, talented artisans, vendors, engaging activities for youth, lively beer gardens, and an abundance of other attractions.
As one of TDS’s Core Values, diversity is at the forefront of all that we do. It informs our approach to client services, recruitment and community involvement. We recognize that diversity of identities, experiences and backgrounds better positions us to provide exceptional legal services to our clients. Our aim is to ensure that both our firm and our work reflect and respect the diversity of the individuals we serve.
At TDS, our Equity and Accountability Council is tasked with developing policies and programs to lead, support and foster a diverse and equitable workplace. This year, while we are celebrating the rights and freedoms that 2SLGBTQ+ persons enjoy today, we continue to reflect on those barriers that exist for 2SLGBTQ+ persons, both in our community and abroad. Throughout Pride, we are encouraging our firm’s members to learn more about the Pride movement, to cherish our differences, and to promote a community in which we can all flourish professionally and personally.
