The Passing of Don Baizley

With deep regret, we announce that our friend and partner, Don Baizley, has passed away at the age of 71. Don was with Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP (TDS) from 1964 to 1971. He joined Pollock, Nurgitz in 1971 and then returned to TDS as a Partner in 1984. Don received his Call to the Bar in 1967, and his Q.C. in 1980. Don was the President of the Law Society of Manitoba from 1986 to 1987 and was inducted into the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame as a Builder in 2007. Don was best known as a highly respected agent representing professional hockey players.

The Partners, Associates, Students and Staff of TDS extend our sincere condolences to the Baizley family.

Out of respect for Don, our offices will close at 12:00 pm on July 10th.
