The passing of E. William Olson Q.C.

published 04/13/2020

With deep regret, we announce that our friend and partner, Bill Olson, has passed away at the age of 76.  Bill received his Call to the Bar in 1972, and his Q.C. in 1984. In 1987, several lawyers from the firm Scarth, Dooley, Olson & Wiens, where Bill was a partner, joined TDS.

Bill was appointed as Counsel to the firm on January 1, 2011. Bill was a giant in the legal community and our firm.  Bill was repeatedly recognized nationally by Lexpert®, Benchmark Litigation and Best Lawyers® in the areas of insurance law, construction law, labour and employment law, alternative dispute resolution, bet-the-company litigation and commercial litigation. Bill's legacy of leadership and excellence has been ingrained in the firm and is a significant reason we are where we are today.

The Partners, Associates, Students and Staff of TDS extend our sincere condolences to the Olson family.
