Allan has been in continuous private law practice since 1975. He has had many years of court room experience in criminal, family and civil litigation cases.

He has appeared in all levels of trial and appellate courts in Manitoba, the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as in many administrative tribunals, on a wide variety of cases. His practice has included litigating lengthy and complex criminal, contract and tort cases. He has a BV Distinguished designation from Martindale-Hubbell lawyers’ peer review for very high rating in both legal ability and ethical standards. In more recent years Allan’s practice has been more concentrated in Commercial and Corporate and estate law.

Allan received recognition from the Government of Canada for his volunteer work during the International Year of Volunteers and an award from the Mayor’s office of the City of Winnipeg for Leadership and Service to the Community.
Allan has served on various boards and committees of community organizations including the Steinbach Arts Council, the Manitoba Association of Rights and Liberties and served as President of Victoria-Lindenwoods Community Club for two years.
