Since her call to the Manitoba Bar, Elizabeth has built a practice centred on providing thoughtful, client-focused counsel to First Nations communities and organizations across Manitoba, Western Canada and Ontario, as well as to corporate clients navigating complex disputes.
Elizabeth advises First Nations clients on a broad range of matters, including governance, employment, commercial transactions and acquisitions, litigation, Specific Claims, regulatory issues, and the development of internal policies and laws. Her commercial litigation practice focuses on shareholder disputes and corporate governance issues. She has appeared before all levels of court in Manitoba as well as the Federal Court of Canada. She is committed to understanding the unique legal needs and priorities of each client she serves, and to delivering practical solutions that reflect those goals.
Elizabeth is a member of the Aboriginal Law Executive of the Manitoba Bar Association and is an active voice in the legal community on issues affecting Indigenous peoples. She has presented at the Manitoba Bar Association Midwinter Conference Aboriginal Law Section, the Canadian Bar Association Aboriginal Law Conference, and the Ontario Bar Association Ontario Legal Conference.
Beyond her legal practice, Elizabeth is dedicated to her community. She serves as Board Chair of the Gas Station Arts Centre, as a Board Member of Bladder Cancer Canada, and as a member of the Grace Hospital Capital Campaign.
