Michael has a general corporate and commercial practice, with an emphasis on financial services, and property and development.
Michael, a partner at TDS, has been recognized by: (a) Lexpert, The Business Magazine for Lawyers, as a leader in the area of Corporate and Commercial Law; and (b) Best Lawyers™, the oldest and most respected peer review publication in the legal profession, in the field of Banking and Finance Law in Canada.
Michael has a general corporate and commercial practice, with an emphasis on: (a) financial services, which primarily involves representing financial institutions on secured lending transactions; and (b) property and development, which primarily involves advising on acquisitions and divestitures, development matters and leasing matters.
Michael also frequently acts as Manitoba counsel for law firms and businesses located in other jurisdictions. As a result, he is often consulted on matters concerning Manitoba limited partnerships and legal opinions.
Prior to joining TDS, Michael was an associate at Torys LLP in Toronto.
Michael is also a member of the Nominating Committee at TDS.
