Leo works closely with both established private businesses and startup businesses in order to maximize tax efficient growth, while protecting the interests of the founders every step of the way. When the time is right for the client, Leo provides pragmatic and effective advice on the sale of their business, bearing in mind both tax and business considerations.

Leo is known for his aptitude for detailed research, pragmatism, and understanding of complex tax situations. He has worked with small business owners and delivered presentations on corporate and tax law to help them better understand the tax planning tools that Canadian businesses and their shareholders have available as well as how to avoid the common pitfalls that can result in significant tax costs. He also lectures at the University of Manitoba Law School on corporate taxation for second and third year law students.

Leo is an active volunteer in his community and enjoys applying his knowledge of corporate and tax law to help charitable organizations continue the selfless work that impacts communities across Manitoba.
