Suzette joined the Brandon firm in April 2016 as a family law associate.
Suzette obtained her law degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta in 2012 and completed her articles and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2014, soon thereafter Suzette and her family relocated to Brandon and she was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2015.
While in law school Suzette volunteered with Student Legal Services and participated in the Civil/Family and Criminal Law Projects, and volunteered with Law Show which helped to raise significant funds for the Alberta Council for Women’s Shelters (ACWS). Throughout law school, Suzette worked diligently with several members of the law faculty and especially with the Alberta Law Reform Institute as a student research assistant.
Suzette earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2008 where she graduated summa cum laude (highest distinction) from San Diego State University. She is a native of San Diego, California, but enjoys our wintery weather and is a dual citizen of the US and Canada.
In her spare time, Suzette enjoys gardening and other outdoor activities, cooking, and spending time with her family.
