Terra's practice is focused in the areas of labour, employment, and human rights law.
She primarily provides advice to employers and employees on employment contracts, employee manuals, collective agreement administration, discipline, terminations, wrongful dismissals, employment standards, human rights issues, and workplace safety and health matters. She also has done a considerable amount of work relating to the drafting and enforcement of restrictive covenants and the post-employment obligations of key employees.
Terra acts as counsel in proceedings before the courts, arbitrators, labour boards, and human rights tribunals.
Terra was a summer student at Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP in 2005 and 2006 and articled with the firm in 2007-2008. In 2008-2009, Terra clerked for the Honourable Justice Eleanor Dawson, now of the Federal Court of Appeal.
Terra is a member of the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers (CACE), which is the leading management side labour and employment lawyers organization in Canada.
